IDLES Visit a Fever Dream Supermarket in Video for New Single 'Gift Horse'
I know that's a pretty boring title, but I thought "IDLES' New Music Video Makes Me Feel Like I Drank Way Too Much NyQuil and Then Had to Run an Errand" was a little too wordy.
Every word I type is one more word in between you and this song, so I'll shut up:
Goddamn, that rocks. Which is good, because it's also making me very uncomfortable.
After keeping things on the lighter, dance-ier side with the first two singles off the upcoming TANGK ('Dancer' and 'Grace'), IDLES is back with their usual dance floor grooves delivered with a sledgehammer of a chorus for good measure. All set to what looks like you would see at the local supermarket in a nightmare, although the more you watch the more you realize those kinds of things are already happening in public. Maybe not all of them in one place (seems like influencers and prank video makers have their own territory in public), but I'm not surprised the glassy-eyed cashier is witnessing all the insanity unfolding in his store without much of a reaction at all.
